😟 Meet Worry-Bot Walter

Worry-Bot Walter is a charmingly anxious automaton, whose primary function seems to be contemplating all possible impending disasters (mostly involving crumbs). His tall, slender body is painted a distressed metallic silver and antique gold, giving him a venerable, well-used appearance. His small, square head features wide, concerned eyes made from silver rivets, a tiny metal stud nose, and a dramatically downturned metal rod mouth that perfectly conveys his constant state of mild panic.

He's adorned with an impressive cascade of silver gears across his chest, suggesting a highly complex internal worry engine. A row of tiny nuts serves as his belt, and he stands on a pair of elegant gear-shaped feet. Topped with three screw-stud antennae and subtle silver arms, Walter is always ready for his next (imagined) crisis.

⚙️ Origin Story

Walter was initially conceived in the 1920s as a sophisticated "Automated Weather Forecaster." However, a faulty wiring connection caused him to constantly predict "99% chance of existential dread with scattered showers of mild inconvenience." His creator, tired of the perpetual gloom, repurposed him as a decorative item, hoping his worry would at least be aesthetically pleasing.

💼 Employment History

Current Role: Chief Hazard Assessor & Designated Pessimist. (Walter's duties involve silently scrutinizing all potential household dangers, from wobbly shelves to slightly overcooked toast. He is particularly effective at making you double-check if you locked the door, even if you just did.)

Previous Role (1960s): Automated Reminder for a Self-Help Guru. (Fired for causing the guru to develop anxiety. Walter would constantly remind him of all the ways things could go wrong, completely undermining the guru's positive affirmations. He now finds a more fitting (and less therapeutic) role on your shelf, where his worry can be admired from a safe distance.)
